Wall Tulip
2002
Oil on Canvas 10" x 12"
"I remembered clearly of an incident about this painting. See I does my painting in my room, so after I finished wall tulip, like the rest of my paintings, I left it at a corner for it to dry. An oil painting takes about few days to dry. But this particular day, when I returned home, I saw fingerprints all over it. Stunned, I immediately seek to know who was the culprit, of cos I knew it was one of my young nephews who were staying with me then. After a stern warning of not to touch my wet paintings, I went into my room and flew into such rage. It was only after I recollect myself that I began making amendments to it. Was initially thinking of just throwing it away. Glad I didn't."
