Blackjack is a game of cards where whomever gets the closest to 21 - without going over - wins. Both players start with 2 cards, 1 face up and 1 face down. Each number card is worth their displayed number. Face cards are worth 10 and aces can be either 11 or 1 - whichever gives the highest score without going over 21. If you haven't played blackjack before, read the "how to play" below. How to play When you start playing, first you must select your bet. You may bet up to as much money as you have (you start with $100). When you're ready, click deal, and the cards will be dealt. If either you or the dealer start with an ace and a face card, then he or she has blackjack, and automatically wins. If you get blackjack, you get 1.5 times your bet. If no one gets blackjack, then the game continues. You now have several options. You can either hit, stay, split, or double down. When you click hit, you receive one card. If this puts your total over 21, you bust, and you lose that hand. If you click stay, then you stay with your hand, and let the dealer hit and stay. The dealer will hit on anything below 17, and stay at 17 and higher. If the dealer busts, you win. You can click on double down any time you can hit. What this does, is gives you one card, doubles your bet, and you stay(or bust :-0). It is particularly useful to double down when you have a hand total of 11, because you are fairly likely to get a 10 - thus 21. Splitting is a little more complicated. You may only split when your hand starts out with 2 of the same card(example, two kings). If this occurs, you can click split and your hand will be split into two hands, each with your beginning bet. Each hand then receives a card, to make 2 cards each hand. You then play both hands seperately as normal.
