I feel I should take a moment to explain this choice of words. When I say "real" friends, I do not mean that these are the friends who are true friends as opposed to imaginary friends. I could never fit all of my imaginary friends on my page. ;-) But, seriously, I mean simply that these are the friends with whom I have some semi-regular contact IN PERSON.
Tyler Bennett-(aka TyTy, or BoB) He used to work at The Burger King. But not anymore...He's moved on to bigger and better things. ;-) He was the entertainment at BK as he randomly breaks out into song. His most popular numbers are "His Cheeseburger" from VeggieTales and "Trashin' the Camp (N*Sync and Phil Version)" from Tarzan. He's the one everyone goes to for advice or just an ear. And he fills that role very well! Somehow he manages to always be happy...even while working. I don't recall ever having seen him without a huge smile on his face.
Jonathan Boyle-Quite possibly my best friend in the world!! He used to just be a net friend, but he moved here to be with me! We dated for about 3 months, but now we're just friends. He is the king of imps and hamsters. Unfortunately, they got jealous of me and that is why we're no longer together. ;-) Actually, we're just better as friends in this wild and crazy world. He's in the long and indirect process of moving back up to Alaska.
Tyrus Dejarnette-A fellow PowerPuff fan!! He's someone I can always turn to for help, advice, fun, or to just hang out. Once I had to call on him early one morning for him to take me to the doctor. My neck was killing me. Almost literally. Even though I had woken him up, he was more than willing to help me and wait patiently while I was with the doctor. I couldn't ask for a sweeter friend!! Well, maybe I could ask....
Robby Drummond-Yet another BK sucker. We are notorious for our conversations. Or so I am told. It seems that whenever we work together, we always end up having deep conversations concerning relationships, whether they be ours or in general. Apparantly others haven't caught onto this theme, because people always wonder what we're talking about. Even if people listened to the whole conversation from beginning to end, they would have no way of knowing what we were saying since we speak in code. Tyler comes the closest to understanding them since he uses the same method of conversing serious issues at work.
Amanda Dudley-She's my roommate this year. She is really into movies!! Her bookshelf is FULL. You couldn't fit a pencil on it if you tried!! 53(I think) movies and countless books. I don't know where she finds the time! And don't mess with her stuffed animals because they'll attack you in your sleep! She's a computer science major and she wants to work at Pixar, which I think would totally rock!!!
Cindy Gillespie-She was my roommate during our first semester and she rocks! Except, then she was Cindy Steidley. She's also an AnSci major and we have many of the same classes which is good for days when I can't attend for some reason or another. ;-) She just got married to Brian Gillespie on June 22, 2002. Go Cindy!! Her and Brian are absolutely perfect together! On a completely unrelated note, she is now forever known as a Cocker Spanial. Don't touch her or she'll pee! (If you ask, I might just tell you the story behind that one....she didn't really pee!)
Adam Hudson-10 years my elder, he is very wise in the ways of this world and yet in some ways like a child. He's the manager and technician of the central location of Wireless Mike's. Whenever time and transportation permits, he's going to teach me all of the essentials of being a technician so that I can then become a technician for 2 of the satellite stores. That way he won't be so busy that he can't answer his phone.
Justin Hunt-He's 3 years behind me in school, but he still rocks! A graduate this year, he kicks butt on the trombone! He always has. Well, maybe not when he was in 5th grade, but he has ever since I've known him. He was first chair at district and, therefore, is automatically placed in All-State which is the highest honor for a HS musician. Go Justin!! And, fitting in with the rumor, he is also an excellent bowler.
Alison Marlowe-She and Suz were my neighbors. She's a *gasp* Democrat. Ewwww....I can't believe I have that word on my page...;-) But, that's okay because BUSH WON!!! Anyway, we have fun discussing politics without killing each other. Fortunately, killing is against both our religions! The comic strip "The Boondocks" is her crack.
Chris Painter-He's a student at Parkland. He is really into computers and can probably do things with computers that I only dream of. In general, we think very much alike. However, our musical tastes are about as opposite as possible. If there's ever a day when I'm absolutely exhausted, it's very likely that it's his fault.
Susan Schuber-She and Al were my neighbors(see above). She went to North Carolina with me and the 42 others for a national pre-vet symposium and we had so much fun! I-L-I!! She's an EMT so if I need it, she can save my life...afterall, she already has the pants! ;-)
Jordan Sell-Yet another PowerPuff fan! We've known each other since before I can remember. His mom cuts my hair and everytime she did so she would have him bring me one of his library books so that I wouldn't get bored. He's never stopped being sweet and considerate. I recall at band practice one night when it was close to Halloween he asked if I thought I was going to get TP'd any time soon. I was puzzled and said not really, why? He said that if I did get TP'd that he would clean it up for me and that if I so much as suspected that I might get TP'd that he would spend the whole night in my yard with a baseball bat in case someone tried to TP me. Some day I'll take him up on that...
Becky Woods-(aka "Wa-Wa") Tyler gave her the name. I don't ask how he came up with it. She and Robby are going out. And she is also a BK sucker. Over the last year or so we've come to be really good friends. When she had problems she would always come to me and I would listen to her and threaten her so she wouldn't cry at work. Technically I didn't threaten her. She made that part up, but I played along since it seemed to help keep her mind off what was bothering her. Now I can't see her without getting/giving a big hug in return. I'm not complaining!
Nick Allen-My third online friend and the first person from the 'net I ever had the pleasure of meeting in person. We remained great friends even though his computer crashed and we could not talk for over a year. When we again crossed paths we talked as though we had never been apart and eventually had a six month or so relationship. Unfortunately, the distance eventually did us in, but we're still great friends. He is an excellent photographer and web designer and he helped me repair the damage done to my page.
Jean Cousins-My second online friend. I haven't met her in person yet. She also loves musicals. We met at the Foyer. We tend to think on the same wavelength which is really cool and can be freaky at times! She is also the one who set up and runs Behind the Curtain so please go visit and say hey!
Jonathan Gaby-My fourth online friend and the second 'net friend I met in person. We also met at the Foyer. He is the person who destroyed my site though he says that it was "just a joke". He's pretty cool though. He's really getting into some more "exotic" types of music lately such as the banjo.
Timothy Metcalfe-A long lost 'net friend. He's been so busy that he's forgotten me...j/k!(I hope) He is the king of pig-nosed people :o) and he has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard! I have some samples of his singing on my sounds page if you would like to listen to him. He is sure to be cast as the Phantom if he ever makes it to an audition! ;o)
Jeremy Norville-(He's the one in the middle) He's a great online friend in North Carolina. He's also really great at helping me through my many crises. I finally got to meet him and had a blast! He reminds me of Rocko from "Rocko's Modern Life" by the way he talks. He plays paintball and his team was featured in the national paintball magazine "Action Pursuit Games"(not sure what issue). Check it out sometime!
Stacie Swanson-We met in 1994 at a band camp. We wrote each other for several years and every time my family took a vacation to Chicago(usually every year) I would make it a point to visit her. Then, we both hit high school and got so busy with homework it became very difficult to write each other as often. Then, next thing we know, we weren't writing anymore. Recently, we were both packing for college and came across some old memoirs of each other, pics and letters. We both sat down and began to write. My letter reached her right before she finished with mine. It's just like old times again. She's also the one that got me interested in musicals. She played "Any Dream Will Do" from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and got me hooked. Phantom was the next logical step.
Nesquik?! Who did that?? That's not his name! That's his favorite chocolate drink!! His real last name is Nesvick. Sheesh! Can't even get that right....
Who's Robb that he would get his own category? If you would dare ask that, you don't know Robb. (Lucky!) Robb is a 22-year-old BOY. He is the living Peter Pan. I would say that he's an online friend, but for some reason he refuses to talk to me or acknowledge me online. He lives in AK, so he isn't a "real" friend. However, if/when I call him(note: MY phone bill) he treats me like a true friend. Sometimes I would prefer he didn't do that. You see, he abuses his friends. That's how I can tell he really cares. Or so I'm told...
