Goulash Party: Karoly, a colleague and good friend of mine from Hungary lived next door to me in China. He attempted to cook authentic Hungarian Goulash. It tasted good but he admitted it wasn't as good as his wife's. So when his wife and kids came to visit him he arranged another Goulash Party in order for us to taste his wife's recipe. It was very good and we had a fun evening.

The Main Course: I don't know what went into it but it was gorgeous. The fact that it was home-cooked just made it better. After I left China I went to visit Karoly and his family in Hungary. He is fortunate enough to live a beautiful country setting, a big difference from Shanghai. |

The Host is pictured bottom left. Karoly is a top bloke, a real gentleman. He was my closest colleague, we shared a desk and a lot of opinions about the people we were working for. He is now back in Hungary and has a new job. Last year he got to go to Indianapolis on business and in January 2000 he went back to the U.S. but this time to Michigan. |
