When the crosley was laid to to rest in 1952 it did not stay buried. A California company headed by W.B. Crofton, a well established GMC and Detroit Diesel dealer, acquired the rights to amazing little Crosley engine and manufactured it for sale as a small stationary engine. In addition, Crofton produced a utility vehicle called the Bug. Designed by Robert W. Jones, it was a slightly changed version of the Crosley Farm-O-Road, a midget size Jeep vehicle.
