Tank Cleaning

- Betta fish will usually be happy in an aquarium of any size. The aquarium should be densely planted and well lighted. Floating plants will facilitate nest building. Peace Lilies are the most common floating plants used in small bowls.
- Water should be completely changed once every few weeks.
- Replacement water should be soft to medium hard with a pH of 6.0-8.0 and a temperature between 73° and 86°F (23° and 30°C).
- Tap water should NOT be used. Chemicals in ground and city water may be harmful to your Betta Fish.
- Distilled or spring water should be used in your Betta's aquarium.
- If you do not wish to purchase special water for your fish, water treatment pellets may be used to make water safe.
- I recommend Jungle Labs Bowl Buddies Betta Care Kit. It is specially designed for Betta Fish.
- Bowl Buddies will also help to safely eliminate waste, and are safe to use in tanks with aquarium plants.
