BBA Admissions
Admission Requirements
Every applicant, without any exception, must fulfill the admission requirements as laid down by
IBA. Admission test and interview for admission into the first semester will be held once in a year as decided by
IBA. No interim or supplementary admission test or interview will be arranged.
A higher secondary certificate or its equivalent in science, arts, commerce or other fields of study is the basic educational requirement. Minimum qualifying points to be eligible to apply is 5 (five), calculated on the following basis:

Students who have passed at least 5 papers in G.C.E. O' Level (with Mathematics as one of the subjects) and two papers of A' Level may also apply, provided they have 5 (five) points as computed below. Equivalent grades of 'O' level and 'A' level courses are calculated on a 4 point scale (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1). The best five grades of O' Level and best two grades of A' Level are considered for calculating the Cumulative Grade Point Average
(CGPA) at respective levels as under:

For all foreign certificates, equivalence will be determined by the Institute.
Admission Tests
Applicants will be required to sit for an admission test designed to judge their abilities and aptitude for the program. Admission test will be held in Dhaka as arranged by
IBA. The admission test will be held on the following three areas:
i.Language and Communication,
ii.Mathematics, and
iii.Analytical ability
To qualify in the written test an applicant is required to obtain minimum qualifying marks in all three sections individually.
A student having a minimum score of 1200 (with a minimum of 400 in verbal) in SAT may not take the BBA admission test (written) as administered by the Institute. But all applicants must appear before a board interview as a part of the admission requirements.
Interview
Candidates will be selected for interview on the basis of their performance in the admission test (written).
Selection
Final selection for admission will be based on the marks obtained by the applicants in written test and the interview.
International Students
Foreign students may apply for admission provided individuals fulfill the admission requirements as laid down for the native students. However, the requirement of board interview may be waived and in that case evaluation of students will be done on the basis of written records, academic references, and assignment on writing ability. University fees for the foreign students is US$ 1,200. It is US$ 500 or equivalent Bangladeshi Taka for the students from the SAARC countries.
