IBA has a strong program in the field of research and publications. A separate Center for Research and Publications has been set up for gearing up activities in these fields. So far, 32 quality research works have been published. Organizing research funds and allocating research grants to faculty members for undertaking quality research have been facilitated by this program.

It organizes research seminars on issues of national interest in the field of management. It also takes up specific research projects at the request of the Bangladesh Government or private organizations on its own or in collaboration with agencies or organizations and endeavors to publish the research findings.

This center also takes pride in publishing an internationally reputed journal titled "Journal of Business Administration" being published for the last 25 years. This is a quarterly Journal, which addresses to the major issues pertaining to all the fields of management having national and regional relevance.
