11. Interactions with IBA faculty members including  Director and other senior faculty members were given due importance. Regular discussions between IBAAA President and General Secretary in one hand and the Director IBA and other faculty members on the other hand were held. Prime focus was  the issue of Renovation of IBA Auditorium. IBA faculty members’ participation in IBAAA meetings and other activities were stressed.

12.  In order to revitalize office activities of IBAAA and to have effective liaison with IBA students, IBAAA decided to engage members of IBA students as part time Office Coordinator. The idea worked well. But because of IBA students’ heavy load, they could not provide vital service to IBAAA while exams were on. However, we have recorded creditable services of IBA Students (1) Mr. Maruf Ahmed and (2) Mr. Khaled as Office Coordinator during their tenure. Now the practice has been to engage a full time Office Secretary.

13. President and Secretary and Chairman Organizing Sub-committee Mr. Zahid visit IBAAA office off and on during daytime to streamline the activities of office. Record keeping, office set-up, book-keeping and preparation of accounting statements has taken shape to some extent.

14.  Organizing Fortnight has been observed during June 3-17, 2000. It was mainly planned by Mr. Zahid, Chairman Organizing Sub-committee. 50 volunteers (IBA Students) worked hard to make the Fortnight success. It established effective liaison with the IBA Students.

15.  The President and General Secretary sent Bengali New Year Greetings to all members and Distinguished Personalities.

16. Since the adoption of amendment of constitution to elect one representative from 3 batches, effective co-ordination with individual batches were found to be difficult. So as per resolution of E.C. a Coordinator from each batch was nominated to facilitate keeping liaison with all the batches. Combined meeting of E.C. members and batch coordinators have been proved to be fruitful to organize various events.

17. 2500 copies of “Business Executive” –the bulletin of IBAAA are printed and circulated to all members, Students of IBA, faculty members and all important government and business establishments including multinational bodies and International Agencies.

18. Of late most activities of IBAAA are being arranged at IBA Auditorium, which is needed to focus our own identity vigorously. IBA authorities are enthusiastic over this development. But the facilities at IBA auditorium are not up to expectation of our senior members. Neither it is acceptable expectable to our honorable guests most of whom are big business magnets. So both IBA and IBAAA are keen to take initiative and appropriate measures to raise funds to renovate the auditorium to meet the need of the hour.

19. IBAAA ‘s own office facilities including the seminar room need to be upgraded significantly to rightly focus the status and ego of the Alumni. Possibly this is one of the reasons why most Alumni seldom visit IBAAA office. It must not be left like this. Visualizing the need of hour, the President, Chairman Advisory Council and E.C members of IBAAA have contemplated a vigorous campaign to raise a fund of taka 12 lac’s. A strong fund raising subcommittee under the Convenor-ship of Mr. Syed Monzurul Huq (L – 318 ) has taken up a plan to raise the fund as quickly as possible. All concerned particularly the Alumni will be vigorously persuaded to generously contribute to this fund.

20. The estimated expenditure of taka 12 lac is given in the attached sheet.

21. The Graduation Ceremony of 32nd batch MBA and 4th batch BBA was held on 22nd September 2000. The President of IBAAA sent congratulatory  message to each of the 128 new Graduates and invited them to join the IBAAA. In an address to the new Graduates at the IBA auditorium the President underscored the need for the new generation thrust to make the IBAAA more dynamic.

22. In order to make the new Graduates more interested in the activities of IBAAA at the initial period of their career, a reception to welcome them to the fold of IBAAA has been planned. Activities as per resolution of E.C. are on to hold the reception in a fortnight.
