Introduction

Very shortly after its birth in 1996, IBADC was able to obtain a respectable place in the national debate scenario. Be it in the context of the University of Dhaka, or in the national scenario, this club enjoys a separate pride of  glory and accomplishment. Two teams from this club stood first among the Bangladeshi teams in the Australasian Debate 1997, and Worlds Debate 1998. However, numerous honors and prizes won from several prestigious tourneys are not the optimum achievement of IBADC. Example of regular, fair and fertile practice of debate that has been set by IBADC has placed it in a very distinct position among the homogeneous entities. IBADC members have been more than spectacular in National TV Debates, inter club debates, and other national level debates. IBADC do take the pride of providing the ZIA Hall (DU) Debate Team with talents from IBA. The very latest success of IBADC includes the runners-up trophy of the Inter Club Debate 2001 and 3rd place in the 15th National debate. IBADC will continue its efforts toward cultivating the minds of young debaters in the light of logic truth and spirit.

Administration

A very open minded and participative management looks after IBADC. Once every fortnight, a meeting of all members take place. The meeting provides an opportunity for practicing debate and other cultural activity as well.
