IBCB
Pastors

Pastor Hygino Teixeira de Souza
(1981-1986)

Born in 1892 and dead in 1998, he was the first pastor in the church. During his blessed ministry, the actual temple was built. He gave a lot of orientation to the church about sustaining God's work, baptism, conversion, salvation in Christ and being available to make the work go on. In 1981, he planned and organized several youth integration events, like the Testimony Program, the Skills Night, the Vacation Bible School, visits to institutions, besides several interchanges with local churches.

Pastor Elias Albuquerque Dias
(1987)

He was the church's temporary pastor during a few months in 1987. During his ministry, the worship bands "Maranata" and "Nova Vida" (New life) were raised again, both of them leadered by Harley Christian Pereira Carvalho. Moreover, he created the Training School at the church and, before he left the IBCB pulpit, he raised some resources to the creation of the "beneficence box", which would be finished some years forward with Pastor Ozias Rodrigues de Oliveira.

Pastor Ezequiel Cardoso
(1988-1989)

He gave a lot of incentive to the church's spiritual growing with the Training Union, which, during the year 1989, was working weekly from 6:10 to 7:20 pm. He also organized events for the IBCB members integration, like the Family Day (on Mondays), the Praying Weeks, the Child Cults (on the fifth Sunday of the month), gymcanas, etc..

Pastor Valmir Silva
(1989-1990)

He became the IBCB pastor a few months after his council at Lírio dos Vales Baptist Church, in 1989. Realized many lectures about christian acts at the church, in association with Caná da Galiléia Baptist Church (Guarara, MG), besides small final building works inside the IBCB temple. After his leaving, in 1990, the IBCB ministry passed on to the vice-president Geraldo Pereira's hands. This time, with a six-people comission, he organized a big party celebrating the tenth anniversary of the church, where we could have the pleasure to meet the Agape Band, the Pastor Muryllo Cassette, o coral da 'Assembléia de Deus' de Bicas, between another ones. Geraldo Pereira left the post of president in May of 1992, when the ministry was shouldered by Pastor Ozias Rodrigues de Oliveira.

Pastor Ozias Rodrigues de Oliveira
(1992-1993)

At the time he became the IBCB's temporary pastor, Pastor Ozias warned the church about the importance of growing up spiritually, in number and in love. His sermons were calling the church to be moving, "giving hands" and, just like the primitive church, be one in Christ's love. He worked together with the Woman's Ministry in favour of the construction campaign. He also created the IBCB Beneficence Box, a very very important act, which still nowadays has been helping several lives.

Pastor Eli Souza de Matos
(1993-2000)

During his ministry, a building, where today is the pastor's house, the pastor's cabinet, the kitchen and the party room, was built. He organized several theater plays at the church and some very important events, as a big Mensageiras do Rei reunion at the church, in 1996, and a "Puro Louvor" Band show at the 1995 Local Exposition, where people from almost all the local churches were present. He also helped the IBCB Women's Ministry to, in association with the First Baptist Church of Bicas's Women's Ministry, receive the State Association of the Baptist Women's Ministry. In 1999, he was the church's representative in a big retreat in Rio de Janeiro, an event that brought very important studies to the church.

Pastor Wesley de Queirós Cassétte

Pastor Wesley was invited by the church to attend the process of Pastor Rubens Leandro Soares's examining council. He is the pastor of ‘Jesus Worldwide Hope’ Baptist Church, people with whom IBCB has already had the pleasure of making an interchange and enjoy harmony moments.

Pastor Rubens Leandro Soares

He shoudered the church ministry in 2000, coming from the ‘Jesus Worldwide Hope’ Baptist Church (in Belo Horizonte, MG) as a seminary student. Besides several interchanges with local churches and the huge worship band's growing, he made a large repair inside the temple. In March 2001, he created the Point Gospel, an event that, in a little more than two years of existance, has spread the church's name on the region and brought dozens of people to God. He's participated of many events as the church's representative and, today, he's the Middle II president, a division that unites nine regional churches. In April 2003, IBCB decided to accept him as the pastor of the church. Thus, on April 26th, his consecration/entrance as the president of IBCB happened. Married with Andreina Cassétte Soares, he's helped to set Bible's vision on people's minds, for God's glory.
