Teamwork! A bunch of ants carrying a dead dragonfly back to their pad. For those of you interested, Gravity made sure that they didn't make it past the corner. 5/30 Atsu was a big hit with the ladies. Here he is with the receptionist at Cocoa Processing Company, Yvonne. It was her birthday, and she offered us some .... yes, you guessed it.... chocolate! 5/31
Prasad trying to pick up the chocolate boxes that the Managing Director of Cocoa Processing Company gifted to us. The small window also had bars (in case people tried to crawl in?). Of course, right next to it was a door that was wide open. :-) 5/31 A working lunch (!) at La Pergola, a popular lunch spot in Accra, right next to the Golden Tulip. 6/1
Walking across the Volta Bridge which spans the, yes the Volta River. 6/2 A look down the Volta river 6/2
A photo of a photo. Kwame Nkrumah, first President of Ghana, commissioning the Akosambo dam, and the production of electricity for most of West Africa in 1966. Two weeks later, he was overthrown in a military coup.  We met a few Ghanaians who were convinced that it was masterminded by the CIA. 6/2 A view of the Akosambo dam from the Volta Hotel. The power generation unit can be seen on the left side. The dam itself is built only of stone and gravel. No cement . You can see the Dodi Princess cruise boat in the distance. 6/3
