Thursday morning, up early, and take a boat out of San Antonio.
36
The unspoilt shore to the west of San Antonio,
37
and a headland further west.
38
The boat is small enough to get into a large cave.
39
Where everyone stares down into the deep water.
40
Which looks something like this.
41
As we leave, the next boat in the queue enters the cave. They all fell in the water just after this.
42
At last, the first sighting of Es Vedra (the large lump of rock).
43
We're getting closer. (Es Vedra is quite famous)
44
And closer. (It appeared in South Pacific)
45
It's uninhabited, apart from the lighthouse keeper, six goats and a cast of falcons.
46
The water around it is deep, very deep (200m).
47
We leave the rock behind...
48
One final view of the "Cathedral of the Mediterranean".
49
We then stop in shallower water to jump off the boat.
50
The idea is to retrieve bottles of fake Champagne which the crew have foolishly dropped overboard.
51
It may be shallower, but it's still too deep for me.
52
But at least there is a final view of Es Vedra.
53
As we get under way again, I begin to wonder why the flag is flying at half mast.
54
The crew try to take my mind of it by pouring wine all over me (I did manage to swallow some)
55
At last we return to San Antonio Harbour.
56
It's good to be home, thats's our hotel just behind me.
57
And a sunset.
58
Sunset.
59
Sunset.
60
Sunset.
61
More f***ing sunset.
62
Back to Garden of Eden for a few slammers, before joining an unending taxi queue for Amnesia.
63
Several hours later we get to the overcroweded Cream closing party
64
I rename it Cram, possibly because they've crammed 10000 people into a 5000 capacity venue, or possibly because theres a lack of e's.
