AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE
                 TERMS DEFINED:
COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE: Coverage applies when damage to an insured vehicle is caused by a physical loss other than a "collision".   Examples of such losses include but are not limited to: theft, vandalism, flying rocks, hail and windstorm.

COLLISION COVERAGE: Coverage pays for damaged to an insured vehicle caused by accidents/collisions where the driver of an insured vehicle is deemed to be at-fault or partially at-fault.   Coverage can also be activated to provide coverage on an insured vehicle when in an accident were the other party is at fault but the insured is having difficulty settling the claim with the responsible party's insurance company.  However, in all cases the deductible will apply when filing a claim under collision coverage.

UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED MOTORIST COVERAGE: This coverage pays for Bodily Injury and/or Property Damages an insured suffers in an accident caused by another party that is either not carrying insurance coverage or carries insurance coverage with a limit inadequate to cover the actual damages caused.

BODILY INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY: This coverage comes into play when an accident occurs which involves actual or alleged "bodily injury" and/or "property damage" to another party and the insured or the driver of the insured vehicle is considered to be at fault.  The insurance company will pay to defend the named insured in court per the policy contract, (costs related to legal defense are Not taken from the coverage limit) and to pay damages the insured is deemed legally liable for up to the limits shown.  (The insurance company may pay on the insured's behalf without going to court and without a court finding the insured driver at fault should the insurance company deems to outcome to be obvious )

MEDICAL PAYMENTS:  This coverage will pay for medical injuries suffered by any person in the insured vehicle when those injuries are a result of a covered accident.   This limit of coverage applies per person and is activated by the insured's request and is paid regardless of actual or deemed liability.  For those losses where the medical payments of passengers exceed this limit the Bodily Injury Liability coverage takes over to protect the insured if a legal suit is brought against him/her or if the insurance company deems the covered driver was legally liable for the injuries the passengers received.

TOWING & LABOR: This coverage refers to such incidents as towing a broken down vehicle, paying to have a vehicle unlocked when the keys are left inside and includes road side assistance and/or other events where the insured vehicle is not driveable but can be made driveable by an immediate solution.   Coverage does not pay for wearable items replacement or mechanical repair of the vehicle.

RENTAL REIMBURSEMENT: Coverage pays for a rental vehicle in the event an insured vehicle is being repaired or is undriveable due to a covered loss.   The coverage limit is per day with a maximum coverage period of generally 30 days.   Rental cars are generally provided to insurance companies in these situations at lower rates.   These rates are usually much lower than the average consumer rental rates.
