Referees
and References
There
are three basic types of reference:
·
A work reference – provided by a previous boss or
superviser. It should cover your attitude to work and your ability
to do the type of work you are applying for;
·
A character reference – is by someone who knows you
well, but is not related to you, e.g. a family friend who is a
business person or teacher; and
·
A school or college reference – from a teacher,
principal or lecturer.
