Invocation of the God

The priest steps into the centre of the circle and pucks up thedrum. Beating a strong, pounding rhythm, he begins to chant:
"Seed sower, grain reborn, Horned One Come!"
Other voices join his. Hands clap out the rhythm on bare thighs; feet stamp the floor. There is one great shout:

"Io! Evohe!"
Silence. A soft tenor begins to sing:
"Bright sun, Dark death, Lord of winds, Lord of dance, Sun child, Winter-born king, Hanged One, Untamed!Untamed! Stag and stallion, Goat and bull, Sailor of the last sea, Guardian of the gate, Lord of the two lands, Ever dying, Ever living, Radiance! Dionysus, Osiris, Pan, Dumuzi, Arthur, Robin, Janicot, Hou! Move us! Touch us! Shake us! Bring us through!"
All is quiet. The priest sets down the drum, and says simply, "He is here." The coven echoes, "He is here" "Blessed Be".

The God is becoming ever more less 'relevant' to so many women, but ever more understandable to many more.
He, like the Goddess, has many aspects to today's Wiccan, but the man image of the God to the Witch is that of the Horned God. (The image that was called Satanistic by priests hundreds of years ago, and now the Ram is a common place image (I Believe) of Satanism, although Wicca and Satanism is in no way related).
He is not necessarily just Masculine either. He has many levels to himself, like anyone else, and we usually get to know at least one each, all knowing different parts of him. I believe this is also the same for the Goddess, and either upon death or upon the end of time, we will all know the truth behind them both.
