I Can See an Angel 1961 (ICSaA61) is a joint venture of anonymous Patsy Cline fans west of the Mississippi River also committed to perpetuating the memory of Patsy Cline through the establishment of a Patsy Cline Museum in Winchester, Virginia USA.

  Celebrating The Cline

Patsy Cline, (Virginia Patterson Hensley Cline Dick), was born on September 8, 1932, in Winchester, Virginia. At that time the Hensley family home was in nearby Gore, Virginia. Legend has it that she was singing, dancing and entertaining neighbors as early as age 3.

Cline's big break came when she won an Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts program on Monday January 21, 1957 singing Walkin' After Midnight. She then pursued a recording career while appearing at the Grand Ole Opry in 1958, and received national awards in 1961 and 1962.

Country music lost a magical entertainer when her life ended in an airplane crash near Camden, Tennessee, during the evening of March 5, 1963.

Patsy was elected posthumously to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1973, and her reputation is maintained as one of the world's classic female vocalists.

A bell tower was erected in Patsy's memory at the Shenandoah Memorial Park cemetery, the site of her interment. The Patsy Cline Memorial Highway (route 522 south of Winchester) and Patsy Cline Boulevard (near the Apple Blossom Mall in Winchester) were dedicated to commemorate her life.
