The Manipal Group of institutions were the first in the country to establish collaboration with foreign universities at the degree level in medicine, management and engineering.
The collaborative program is called a “Twinning Programme” in which the students pursue the first two years at Manipal, India and the last two years in the USA or Australia or Canada.
The bachelor degree is awarded by the respective foreign university where the student completes his last two years of education.
In the case of engineering, the Manipal Group offers students a two year basic preparatory course in the various branches of engineering.
International Centre for Applied Sciences (I.C.A.S.) conducts the twinning program for engineering.

Students after successfully completing two years in Manipal will be eligible for admission at the third year level (junior year) at a foreign university.

I.C.A.S. has entered into agreements with Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), Andrews University, Illinois Institute of Technology - Chicago, Ohio University and Deakin University[australia] for full transfer of credits after the completion of the two year course at International Centre for Applied Sciences (ICAS).

Some of our students have also been admitted to many other respected US universities such as - University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign, Purdue University, New York State University and Johns Hopkins University, Virginia Tech, University of Wisconsin - Madison, University of California - Irvine, Michigan Technological University, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.

I.C.A.S. also offers students the flexibility in choosing and changing the branch or major area of specialization after entering the program at the US University.
