Name Pun: Burdock, a type of herb.

Seiyuu: Masako Nozawa. (Also the voice of Goten, Gokou, Gohan, and Tales.)

US Voice Actor: Sonny Strait. (Also the voice of Krillin.)

Appearances: Bardock only makes a couple of appearances: Freezer mistakes Gokou for him and speaks of him before fighting Gokou, Gokou has an illusion of Bardock, King Vegeta, and Vegeta in many forms telling him to kill Freezer, (although it is assumed that it is not Bardock, but an illusion from Vegeta) and his main appearance, in the Bardock special. The original name is The Last Lonely Fighter's Battle: Freezer VS Z Fighter Kakalotto's Father, and the English dub name is Bardock: Father of Goku. In the dub, Vegeta refers to him as the scientist who created the "moon ball," although this never happens.

Personality: Bardock is very determined, which is how I got the name from the site. Even when he was laughed at for going against Freezer, he still went on to challenge him with no men. When he died and saw Kakalotto and Freezer in a final vision, he was determined that Kakalotto would beat Freezer. He doesn't care much about his children, as he refuses Celipia's suggestion to go back to see Kakalotto, and never mentions Raditsu once, but this is a common Saiya-jin quality. He isn't completely emotionless, though - he obliverates Dodoria's crew after seeing what they've done to his friends, and wears a bandana stained with Toma's blood in memory of his friend. He seems to care more about his friends than most Saiya-jin. In the dub, he's a little too emotional, which can be scary and cute at the same time. ^_^

Known Life: Bardock is a Third-Class soldier, although very powerful for one. He is the leader of a small crew. Shortly after clearing out Kanassa with them, a planet known for its mysterious psychic powers, Bardock is attacked by Tooro, the last survivor. He strikes Bardock in the back of the neck, causing him to black out, and end up in a rejuvination tank. He gains the ability to see the future. He sees his newly-born son, Kakalotto, grow up on Earth, and planet Vegeta explode. When he recovers, he learns that his crew has left for the planet Meet. He finds most of his crew dead, his best friend Toma still dying. He explains that they were slaughtered by Dodoria and his men, under order of Freezer. Freezer fears the Saiya-jin's strength. Toma asks Bardock to recruit men to kill Freezer, and show him the power of the Saiya-jins. With that, Toma dies. Bardock covers a cloth in Toma's blood, and wraps it around his head in a makeshift bandana. He kills Dodoria's men, but is easily defeated by Dodoria. Bardock hurries to planet Vegeta. He learns that Kakalotto has been sent to Earth, meaning that the visions were true. He tries to recuit men in the bar, but they laugh at him. He tells them to go to hell, and leaves to fight Freezer himself. He has a major vision of meeting Kakalotto as an adult on Namek. He reaches out to Kakalotto, but when he turns around, he becomes Freezer, and Bardock is blown away by a rush of lava. Freezer is sending hoardes of men to Vegeta. Bardock plows through them, and Freezer decides to destroy Bardock himself. Bardock yells at Freezer to come out. When he does, Bardock creates a fist-sized energy ball. "This will change everything...the future of the Saiya-jins...the future of planet Vegeta...Kakalotto's future...my future...and your future!" Freezer creates a huge energy ball, the Death Ball, and sends it at Bardock. He has a final vision of an adult Kakalotto about to fight Freezer, and dies happy, believing that Kakalotto will win. His last words are "Kakalotto!" Gokou is flying towards Earth. A light appears in his ship...Bardock's spirit. "Kakalotto...carry out your father's will. Avenge planet Vegeta! Show Freezer the power of the Saiya-jins!" As the ship flies off, Bardock's bandana is seen floating through space.

Blood Family: Bardock is the father of Gokou and Raditsu. His wife is unknown. He has two grandsons, Son Gohan and Son Goten, (the other focus of this site!) a great-grandaughter, Pan, and a great-great-great-grandson, Gokou Jr. His great-great-grandaughter/son is unknown. It is rumoured that Bardock and Tales, the villian from Movie 3, are related, although this is never clarified. Tales states that he looks like Gokou because the Third-Class gene pool is small, so if he was related to Gokou, he'd probably mention it.

In-Laws: His brother-in-law is Gyuu Maou, but his sister-in-law is unknown. His daughter-in-law is Chi-Chi, and his grandaughter-in-law is Videl. His great-grandson-in-law and great-great-grandaughter/son-in-law are unknown.

Friends: As stated above, Bardock is the leader of a powerful Third-Class crew. The members of the crew are Panboukin, (Shugesh in the dub) a fat but powerful Saiya-jin, Totepo, (Borgos in the dub) a large, dark-skinned, quiet Saiya-jin, Celipia, (Fasha in the dub) a female with a soft spot for children, and Toma, (Tora in the dub) the second-in-command who seems to be his best friend.
