Bardock Interview

Yes! After much coaxing, I have convinced Bardock to let me interview him. But he's been dead for over a year, how is this possible? you ask. Well, Shenlong owed me after that polka dot fiasco. Let's leave it at that.

Me: **containing self** Hi Bardock-san! It's an honour to meet such a proud, strong, amazing person! ^_^

Bardock: O_o Hello...I guess it's better to be here than in Hell.

Me: That wasn't very nice of you!

Bardock: Saiya-jins aren't nice.

Me: Well, if you don't want to chat, let's get this going. When you saw your youngest son about to fight Freezer, how did you feel?

Bardock: I felt glad that Freezer would be defeated by a Saiya-jin.

Me: Well, didn't you feel proud for your son?

Bardock: Why should I worry about the son of a hopeless low-level warrior?

Me: -_- Your final words were "Kakalotto." You have to feel something for him.

Bardock: **embarassed look** Saiya-jins don't care for family.

Me: This is going to be a loooong interview...What about your crew? You sure got angry when you found them dead.

Bardock: We were close training buddies. I came to care very much for them as friends...especially Toma. I can't remember ever not knowing him. When I found them dead...I had to get revenge.

Me: So, you aren't completely emotionless. **winks** I knew you feel more than you say.

Bardock: O_o

Me: But anyways...what about your eldest son, Raditsu? You seemed to be constantly mentioning Kakalotto, but never him.

Bardock: It was a tense situation. I kept having visions of Kakalotto, so he was the first thing on my mind. I never spent much time with Raditsu, there is no "father-son bonding" with Saiya-jins. He was always on missions anyway; I didn't think much of him.

Me: Well, what about your mate? Your looks seem common in your bloodline, so where did Raditsu get that hair? And is it true that Celipia's your mate?

Bardock: I confess to having a crush on Celipia when I was younger...but it was never true love. My mate...she had hair like Raditsu's, but not quite so long. She died giving birth to Kakalotto. I guess that's the main reason why I disliked him so much...

Me: Aww... :( Poor Bardock-san. That must've been terrible.

Bardock: **blush** Well, I was busy with missions...so...

Me: It's ok, Bardock-san. I guess Saiya-jins don't like revealing feelings...

Bardock: Hn. About time you figured that out.

Me: **muttering** Lousy, pigheaded Saiya-jin...how can I call this guy my favorite character?

Bardock: **picking something up** Huh?

Me: **waving hand importantly** Nothing. Anyways, Bardock-san, if you were given the opportunity, which one of your descendants would you like to meet for an hour?

Bardock: **nervously** I don't know if I could live through that...those Earth-coddled softies would get on my nerves...

Me: **angry glare** Humans aren't idiots, Bardock-san. With all due respect, you have the acting ability of a hyper 6 year-old.

Bardock: **turning head angrily** Well, it would have to be Kakalotto, I suppose. He defeated Freezer, avenging the extinction of the Saiya-jin race. Even though Earth isn't his home planet, he defends it with honour and has died in battle for it...repeatedly. Compared to his outstanding bravery and skill, I am a foolish coward.

Me: ^_^ That's so kind, Bardock-san.

Bardock: Well, you know, I...

Me: It's all right. No Saiya-jins will be seeing this...**under breath** I think.

Bardock: It doesn't matter who sees it! I deserve dignity!

Me: Well Bardock-san, that was the last question-

Bardock: **cutting off** Well then, I must be getting back to Hell.

Me: But while you're in an emotional mood, Bardock-san, could you please reanswer one last question?

Bardock: As long as I never have to be interviewed by you again.

Me: **under breath** I can't promise that. **normally** Sure! Now, what did you feel when Kakalotto defeated Freezer?

Bardock: I felt proud. I may very well have been the first Saiya-jin to feel a true proudness - maybe even love - for their son. To know that where you have failed, your offspring will take over for you - a child you never knew - is an undescribable feeling. I wish Kakalotto were here, so I could tell him how proud his father is. I don't care if he denies his roots...he's my son, and I'm proud of him.

Me: **wipes away a tear** That was beautiful, Bardock-san! Beautiful! And with that...you must leave for Hell. Shenlong-sama is already eternally angry at me for asking an extra question. And you know, he never forgets a grudge. Goodbye Bardock-san!

Bardock: Yeah, whatever. **disappears in a cloud of firey smoke**

Me: And thanks for watching my...interesting interview with Bardock-san, the father of Gokou and Raditsu! Catch you next time when I interview chibi Goten-kun!
