Appearances: Goten first appears at the start of the Buu Saga. He is still there in GT, but would rather date girls than go find the Black Star Dragonballs, so we don't see him much.
Personality: Chibi Goten is just like chibi Gokou - cute but dense. He's pretty smart in a fight, but isn't very booksmart. He's playful and carefree, especially around his best friend Trunks. He's usually very enthuiastic to fight. Near the end of Z and through all of GT, Goten becomes a teenager, and pretty much completely changes. Although he and Trunks are still best friends, he no longer cares for fighting, and would rather date girls. He still isn't that smart, probably because his brain is all hormones. :P
Known Life: Goten is born between the Cell and Buu Sagas. He grows up without a father, and is often seen with Trunks. Chi-Chi doesn't seem to care about making Goten smart now that Gohan's trying to be a scholar, and actually lets him train! She freaks out when he becomes a Super Saiya-jin (at age 7, too!) because he looks like a delinquent. Gohan trains Goten with Videl, but asks Goten to slow down because his rapid progress is bothering Videl. Uranai Baba brings Gokou back to life. He is happy to meet Goten, but Goten is uneasy, as he's never known this man. At the Kid's Section at the Tenkaichi Budokai, Goten and Trunks are the finalists. Trunks wins, and goes on to beat Mr. Satan, who claims that he let him win because he's so young. Trunks and Goten aren't allowed to enter in the real Tenkaichi Budokai, so they disguise themselves as "Mighty Mask" by standing on each other's shoulders. 18 defeats them by cutting their costume in half, revealing that they are just children, and they are disqualified. Goten and Trunks are later taught the Fusion Dance to fuse into one warrior. Gokou feels that they are the best hope for the world. After many tries, they eventually do it right, becoming Gotenks, who can eventually go Super Saiya-jin 3! But Gotenks is too cocky for his own good, and never really helps out once throughout the whole series. Although from the above list, it seems like Gotenks has a wide variety of attacks, most do nothing, and are made up as he goes along. -_-;; Soon, Gokou must leave. Although Goten didn't like him at first, he's now very upset about him leaving. Gokou tells Goten not to worry, he'll see him again when he dies. In a later fight with Buu, Gotenks just fools around without fighting, and is absorbed by Buu. When they escape later on, Buu destroys the world, killing poor little Goten. :( Luckily, he is later wished back. :D 10 years later, when Buu is defeated, Goten has become a teenager. He loses against Mr. Buu, who has become a good guy, in a Tenkaichi Budokai. Gokou leaves to train Evil Buu's reincarnation, Uubu, marking the end of Dragonball Z. In GT, Goten is lazy and hormonal, with no interest in fighting. He doesn't leave with Pan, Trunks, and Gokou to get the Black Star Dragonballs because he's busy taking a call from his girlfriend, Parasu, who's very airheaded. Goten is possessed by Bebi when he comes to Earth, but other than that, he doesn't play a large roll in GT.
Blood Family: His paternal grandfather is Bardock, (the other focus of this site!) but his paternal grandmother is unknown. His maternal grandfather is Gyuu Maou, but his maternal grandmother is unknown. His father is Gokou, and his mother is Chi-Chi. His uncle is Raditsu, his brother is Gohan, his niece is Pan, and his great-grandnephew is Gokou Jr. His grandnephew/niece is unknown. It is rumoured that Goten and Tales, the villian from Movie 3, are related, although this is never clarified. Tales states that he looks like Gokou because the Third-Class gene pool is small, so if he was related to Gokou, he'd probably mention it.
In-Laws: His sister-in-law is Videl, but his grandnephew/niece-in-law is unknown.
Friends: His best friend is Trunks, and he seems to be on okay terms with the human fighters and Vegeta's family. His only known girlfriend is Parasu.
