Nixphe

Climbing the mountain was probably the hardest part in your journey, but alas it isn't over quite yet. Although you've reached the top of the mountain, you still have to investigate the valley.

The area is almost all rock around the exterior, but the interior looks like part rainforest and part desert. Temperature wise, it's not too hot and not too cold, but just inbetween enough to support both warm blooded and cold blooded species.

One thing that really sticks out is how the rainforest half looks like it gets rain everyday while the desert side looks like it doesn't get any. You absently wonder why.

"WELCOME!WELCOME!" Out of the rainforest an equine like creature bounds out.

"Huh??!" You blink.

"Ah, sorry, I just don't get alot of company up here. Most of the portal jumpers stay by the Mystic Lake." It beams, obviously happy to see you.

"Mystic Lake? What lake?" You don't remember seeing any lake earlier.

The creature looks dumbfounded for a moment, "You haven't even been to the lake? The one where the Unicorns and Dragons live? O boy...What next...."

You change the subject, not wanting to hear more about the lake."What and who are you?"

"Who am I? Oh, you may call me Nyte....I'm a Nixphe from The Silver Unicorn." Nyte grins.

Grinning you tell Nyte your name.

"Oh I forgot to mention, earlier I noticed you were studying the terrain, the truth is that this place used to be a beach. Ya...how funny is that? A beach on a mountain top..." Nyte giggles,"Perhaps you'd like to continue on?"

As you're about to leave you notice another Nixhpe. This one younger, and she appears to be hiding.

Nyte giggles, "Thats Asha. She's a Nixphe like he...Just a little shy."

A little shy, more like she was scared out of her mind when she saw you.

Asha looks at you with curious yet scared eyes, "Hello."

Nyte grins, "Asha, this is the realm walker I was talking to...Sorry if we woke you."

Seeing that Asha wasn't going to speak to you...You continue on your way.
