Jukka Tammi still belongs to the most favourite players in Frankfurt, although he announced the end of his career as player after the 98/99 season. And this not without a reason: He showed good performances aswell as a good relation to the fans. He danced (more or less good :D) for them after every victory. But the stand-up goalie had much more talent in getting on his opponent's nerves with his composure and his reflexes. The Haie also failed because of this in the 1999 quater-finals: In the penaltyshooting of the 5th game Jukka Tammi was able to win against his opponents and with that he got the hero of the evening (and longer) for the fans of Frankfurt.. The tradition of dancing after a victory isn't that strong anymore, but some other goalies in the league still do it. But no other goalkeeper does it so "good" as he did.
