How To Make Chocolate Treats for Your Kids

Chocolates are definitely a treat for kids. They simply love the taste of chocolate in just about anything, in ice cream, cakes and even cookies. Wouldn't it be fun if you could make these chocolate treats that your kids love with them? In this article, we are featuring a no bake technique in the kitchen, which you and your kids could do and enjoy together. This no-bake kitchen technique is called chocolate molding. Chocolate molding is simply what its name implies. It is the art of molding chocolates and forming them in different shapes, the way you like them to be. This new culinary art is fast gaining popularity among those who take delight in either cooking or baking and especially among chocolate lovers. What's more, aside from the fact that you can actually make this a mother-child activity, it can also be a good source of income for homemakers who might want to earn extra income.
For this particular recipe, you will need the following:
* 1 kilo of chocolate bar ( This is available in most grocery stores. However, there is one particular store called Chocolate Lovers Confectionery Shop along P. Tuazon St. in Cubao. They sell chocolate bars at a much cheaper price between Php 80-90 per kilo)
* chocolate molders (Ideally, anything can be used as a molder as long as they come in the shape you like your chocolates to be. Empty ice cream plastic cups may be used as an alternative. There are also available molders that can be found at Chocolate Lovers at very affordable prices.)
* rice crispies or marshmallows
* water (3-4 cups)
* 2 bowls (7 inches in diameter and the other 5 inches in diameter)
* spoon or spatula
* knife
* kettle
1. Boil water in kettle.
2. While waiting for the water to boil, grate the chocolate into thin shreds using the knife. Put the chocolate shreds in the bigger bowl.
3. As soon as teh water is hot, pourit into the smaller bowl.
4. Take the bigger bowl, which contains the chocolate shreds, and place it over the smaller bowl, which contains the hot water.
5. Using the spoon or spatula, mix the chocolate shreds. Continue mixing until the chocolate shreds melt.
6. As soon as the chocolate shreds melt, add the ricew crispies or marshmallows and mix throughly.
7. Pour the chocolate melt into the molders and refrigerate for 5 minutes.
8. Take the chocolate out of the molders and serve. You may also individually wrap the chocolates if you wish to make it more attractive.

The steps are all simple and easy. Although chocolate molding is a little messy, it would surely be worth it once you see the smile on your kids' face at the sight and at the taste of the chocolate treats you made especially for them. Try this recipe and enjoy chocolate molding with your children.
