About the slander prosecution

On the 6.10.1994 an article about UFO's and the Israeli Center for UFO Research was published in a local newspaper which belongs to "Yediot-Achronot"newspaper.
The content of the article was slighted and insulting, according to the center's advocate,

The "Israeli Center for UFO Research" in response, sued the newspaper, the reporter and the editor.

The verdict, which was given on August 1998, determined that the report wasn't a slander but it was only "black-humor". In spite of the verdict, the prosecution was signal, to anyone who will try to harm the center or its members in a publication.
Indeed, from that incident, the UFO's phenomena was been taken more seriously in the Israeli media.
