You Are Here >> The V. Secret Diary of Ron Weasley
The diary of a useless Weasley.

Day 1: Got acceptance letter into Hogwarts. As everyone else has been there it's no biggie.

Day 2: Feel miffed, but can't because everyone else has been miffed before me. I feel so underappreciated.

Day 3: Percy just been named school prefect and has received new things. Bloody arsewipe being all perfect. It's a dull job being youngest brother.

Day 4: Ginny, at least, thinks I'm good for something. Like braiding her hair. She doesn't ask anyone else to do that for her. Lucky git, she's a girl so her only predecessor is Mum.

Day 5: Depression setting in.

Day 6: Seriously considering being a girl. Tried on Ginny's feather boa and paraded around in a pair of Mum's heels. Also wore violet dress robes. I don't look half bad, truth be told.

Day 7: Offered to braid Ginny's hair for her today. She said no, then asked if I had seen her feather boa around, as she is going to cut it up and sew it onto these old vintage dress robes.

Day 8: Discovered that the vintage dress robes Ginny was talking about were the violet ones I wore 2 days ago. Offered again to braid her hair, you know, take her mind off of it. She looked at me oddly, backed away and said, "Noooo, Ron."

Day 9: Feel hurt. I think Ginny suspects something.

Day 10: Hid feather boa & violet dress robes in back of Ginny's closet at dawn. Goodbye, bout of feminism!

Day 13: Desperately wanted to go to Diagon Alley but ended up staying at home helping Mum prepare dinner. Got all the hand-me-downs. As usual.

Day 16: Really looking forward to Hogwarts. I've even perked up a bit at the prospect, as I can be Ron there, not another Weasley. Of course, if I'm in Gryffindor it's no biggie, but...

Will stop being so depressed.

Day 17: On the train, and met Harry Potter. Harry Potter! He is my opening to being individual, my claim to fame. As a...sidekick? What?

Oh, well. Met Hermione Granger, who is such a ponce with her bush of hair. I swear, it's like looking at an old, dried tree branch or something incredibly poofy. How does she not get an afro from that?!? Hermione is just what I would envision Percy as. If Percy was a girl.

Met Draco Malfoy, slimy evil blond gel-buying git. Probably has got 10 tons of it in his own trunk, as he is so rich and needs to keep the slimy Muggle salesman look in shape. He insulted my family, but then again, I wouldn't blame him. Our last name is Weasley.

Got sorted into Gryffindor. Ho-hum. The Sorting Hat called me "another Weasley, eh?".

Day 20: Have established people in their correct social states. Harry is 'best friend'. Malfoy is 'worst enemy'. Hermione Granger is 'smart-arse'. And Neville Longbottom? 'Boy with hilarious last name'.

Day 23: Malfoy challenged us to a wizard's duel at midnight. Signed myself up as Harry's second, informative / brave / valiant wizard that I am. Again, trying to establish individuality away from preceding family members.

Slimy git Malfoy didn't show. Ha ha, coward! Well, on the other hand am sort of glad will not have to face Crabbe as second, thus probably getting myself into headlock and / or death grip.

Hermione & Neville tagged along and we found ourselves hiding from Filch in the forbidden 3rd floor corridor. Oops. Suppose this sets me apart from even those troublemakers Fred and George. Go me!

Hermione did pretty well tonight. Dream team in the making? Well, maybe if Hermione weren't such a know-it-all I suppose.

Day 30: Harry playing on Quidditch team as Seeker. Being sidekick establishes my individuality from my last name.

Day 31: Upset Hermione after the 'Wingardium Leviosa!' bit in Charms. Then mountain troll barged into the school and Harry insisted we should do the do-gooder bit. Ho-hum. Saved her and now we're all friends. How did that happen?

Well, there's a dream team for you. Brains, fame, and...a Weasley.
