These photos are from the 30s and 40s. Some are from my own album, and I had the privelege of meeting some of these wonderful people the summer of 1949.
Some of our favorite entertainers got their start on the National Barn Dance. Red Foley, Pat Buttram (Mr. Haney on Green Acres (and Roy Rogers' TV sidekick); Andy Williams (performed with his three brothers, one of which [Skip Farrell] autographed the photo), George Gobel, Gene Autry, Rex Allen (remember Frontier Doctor?). There may be others that I don't recall.
