Dual Wavelength Systems

TransMatic 8000 , 9000 , 12000 Series

TransMatic 8000 Series

Like the single wavelength TempMatic 4000 Series, the TempMatic 8000 Series of dual wavelength radiometers provides accurate reliable temperature measurements in severe industrial environments. Advanced dual wavelength design minimizes application error due to emissivity, intervening media, and target size. In addition, the sensor's Single Lens Reflex (SLR) aiming and precision optics ensure accurate temperature readings of small or distant targets. These four-wire systems are typically used in applications such as steel processing, casting, vacuum chambers, and combustion analysis, as well as industries such as semiconductor, glass, and cement.

  • Configuration: Four-wire system with broad range of optics, temperature spans, output signals,     and displays
  • Temperature Limits: 300° ~ 4000°F (150° ~ 2200°C)
  • Sighting: SLR visual aiming with a choice of optics
  • Ruggedness: Sensor enclosure rated NEMA 4 (watertight, dust-tight)

    TempMatic 9000 Series

For very severe industrial environments where heat or electrical noise could damage electronics, the TempMatic 9000 Series combines the flexibilty of fiber optic viewing with the accuracy of dual wavelength radiometry. Easily installed fiber optics permit viewing of inaccessible targets while allowing electronics to be located remotely, a safe distance from the process. Typical applications include cement, electronics, induction heating, vacuum chambers, glass streams, and wire measurement.

  • Configuration: Four-wire transmitter with a variety of fiber optics design and probes
  • Temperature Limits: 700° ~ 4400°F (375° ~ 2400°C)
  • Sighting: Aim light optional
  • Ruggedness: Fiber optic ambient limits of 40° ~ 400°F (5° ~ 200°C). NEMA 4 (watertight,     dust-tight) enclosure

    TempMatic 12000 Series

The TempMatic 12000 Series is used in metal processing applications where accurate product temperature is an important control parameter. Typical applications include continuous casting, hot rolling, cold rolling, heat treating, forging, and extruding, as well as measuring the temperature of molten aluminium, billets, slabs, extrusions, sheets, and rods.

  • Configuration: Four-wire system with a variety of precision optics, infrared filters, output signals,     and displays
  • Temperature Limits: 350° ~ 2200°F (175° ~ 1100°C)
  • Sighting: SLR visual aiming with a choice of optics
  • Ruggedness: Sensor enclosure rated NEMA 4 (watertight, dust-tight)
