SUMMARY:
This work does not intend to be an
academic treated, it is a simple space of reflection trying to get the elemental
from our essence and make a warning in a universe of intellectual productions.

The Architect’s place and the
professional ethics are subjects that have been and are of permanent
reformulating. The cultural events, politicians and economic of this end of this
millennium have had incorporated new arguments to the actual problematic that,
in many aspects, never it was decided. We believe that this is the moment to
review it and to consider guidelines appropriate to this new reality.
We intend to approach the point of
view of two architects that working in
different countries they reach the same elements of warning and denunciation. At
this difficult moment, we convoke to the reflection, feeding the hope to make
more ethical, responsible and worthy our professional performance in the future.
Pushed for a hard reality,
separated of the decisions and taking care of the competitive markets extremely.
We incorporate new modalities of professional exercise that these appear like a
practical that are going to become in rules putting Architects away from their
natural purpose: the one of to act with professionalism and to contribute for a
better world.
To embrace in detail on all aspects
of our profession would mean a very great effort. This work try to focus on the
relevant, with the intention to offer a general overview, inviting to the
approval of an opened report and consensus, for to get a new position that can
revert our current situation, creating conditions to become our action more
effective for the society.
In the end of this century with
unstable tensions of questions of all the concepts and prejudices, we live with
the constant sensation of anarchy and trivial human, fellows to the omnipotence
and impotence, anguish and fancy, In a global habitat in which local action
means to generate reactions world-wide. Without an independent local direction
as it were practical in a recent past where the communities go without a
reference into the game of actions and reactions, between distant agents and
foolish powers.
We believe that the chaos can be
reverted to a future trough a plural administration that
everything takes care of the interests of our planet, hypothesis that interests
to us to develop and hypothesis that the Architects need for to be protagonists
of the global destiny.
The truth probably can seem obvious
but we need to make it public. This is the spirit that motivated the authors to
elaborate this work, whose concepts can be approved or be argued but not
disrespected because we perceives that those concepts are part of the interest
of many colleagues, and the time to adopt a consensus position is already
arrived.
If these shared reflections to
stimulate the imagination of ours colleagues in the route of a worthy
alternative, we will feel in peace.
