word to yo motha

A trend has hit the school like a plague of giant flying locusts. This would be the phenomenon of the all-to-depressed "Emo Kids." Don't get me wrong, I like some Emo bands and songs, but this is getting out of hand. You can't walk down an EHS hallway without seeing these morbid angels of sadness mope around in quite devastating numbers. Why you ask? They are being "individuals" along with the other 300 kids at this school that look identical to them. "Emo Kids" need to grow up, and put on a happy face.
Fads and trends have been around since the beginning of time. The emo trend is what it is...a trend, and it needs to go. Seemingly, though, as every new class of freshmen stuff themselves into this school, I see more black haired, black rimmed, sweater-wearing, acoustic guitar playing students and it is getting a little out of hand. Life is not bad, but they mope around trying not to smile so people are sure that their hearts still are, absolutely crushed. Heaven forbid they show they're pearly whites, cause then "poser" would be flying around willy-nilly. Furthermore, no flying around would be "super emo" without the old, tight fitting jeans and trashy t-shirts. There has never been a trend where more upper-middle-class kids have resorted to shopping at Savers. Leave the clothes there for the people that actually can't afford anything else.
People need to be themselves, and not conform to silly eighth grade trends that have weaseled their way into high school. All you Emo Kids need to brush your black locks out of your eyes, and crack a smile, because honestly high school is not that bad. So, cheer up Emo Kid.
Dying my hair black to have more emotions,
