Infinity Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 6:42 with a moment of silence.

Leslie made motion to accept financial report.  Donna 2nd.

 

Old  Business

 

Discussed new way of viewing our reports on the internet.  Everyone seems to like it.  Two members do not have internet access so I will bring reports to meetings.

 

 

Adopt a family for Christmas.  Ronnie received a number through Joy B (Help Me Grow)

Got in touch with a family of  5.  4 children and Mom.  Spent  $100.00 from Infinity.  Also received a computer.  Jessie from Master Dancers donated $ 25.00

 

 

Discussed Cabaret business.  Tim asked for more volunteers for the  3 committees.  Decorate,  Hospitality, and Entertainment.  We need inventory of  plates, cups, etc from Larry L as soon as possible.

 

Ronnie suggested that we don’t use a DJ and get equipment from Lentines where we already have an account.  Gloria made motion to do our own DJ and Larry L. 2nd.  Accepted.    Ronnie and Tim will be responsible for getting tickets.  Food for the cabaret will be meatballs, crackers, cheese and veggie tray plus our anniversary cake.

 

New Business

 

Dante will be our first associate member.

Leslie Johnson was welcomed into Infinity.  This was her first meeting.

We voted  Sparkle back into Infinity.  Denise made motion and Brenda 2nd.

 

We discussed who will carry water and  music box.  Carrying the box will remain the same.  If the meeting is at your house you will carry the box for the month.   We will go from the bottom of the meeting list to the top for the water.  The water list will be online also.  Donna made motion to accept Leslie 2nd.

 

Discussed how to get music from Leslie. Ronnie will be looking into getting a lap top to avoid carrying CD’s. Suggestions were made to get a flash drive to store music.  Motion was put to the floor by Donna and Larry L. 2nd.

 

Larry L. suggested talking to other groups about having a New Years Eve party but we need to be committed.  Larry L. looking into getting a hosting web site, $6.95 month and our own domain name would cost $695.00 year

 

Virgo not having a cabaret this year.

 

There are not many in town cabarets on list.  Discussed changing how many we have to attend.  Currently we have to do 1 out of town and 3 in town. The Family Reunion is separate. We will wait and see how it goes.

 

Send in your own reservation for the reunion.  Ronnie says hotel space is becoming limited.  Book as soon as possible.

 

Members need to be on the floor more.  Try to bring in more youth 10 +.  Parent must come also.  Teach Infinity dances.

 

Dance of the month….Crazy 8’s  teacher Larry L.   Kateka will teach her dance..
