Since this is the first official newsletter of the year, (I know that several emails were sent out) I want to thank the membership for their vote of confidence in electing me as Master of Ideal Lodge No. 367. I plan on having several open houses, where we can get together with family and friends and maybe create some interest in Masonry. We held an Open Installation in December and the sitting Grand Master of Masons, Clayton J. Borne, III was present and installed me as Master of Ideal Lodge No. 367. He and my father really went out of their way to see that the installation was done properly and I want to thank both for a wonderful installation. We had around 60 people to witness the installation and also had quite a number of Past Masters to witness the ceremony where I was seated in the Oriental Chair. I also want to thank WB Robert Alton Harper, PM 160 for helping with the Sr. Deacon duties, to receive the Grand Lodge Officers and Worshipful Master Ricky Sanchez, 160 for acting as Installing Marshall, and James P. Allen, PM for acting as Installing Chaplin. GREAT JOB BY ALL who participated in the installation. Secretary’s Message: Brothers, your 2007 Dues are NOW due. Please remit your dues to IDEAL LODGE # 367, c/o: Armando Perez, 12108 Coles Creek Blvd., Hammond, LA 70403-2024. Please remember to add your optional 2¢ worth a day for an additional $7.30. Please make check in the amount of $52.80. We still have a member that has not paid for 2006!
COMING EVENTS: Tuesday, March 6th - OPEN HOUSE for Ideal Lodge’s 90th Birthday!! You have enough time to make plans to attend and visit with our members. This should prove to be a nice turnout and a wonderful occasion to visit with old acquaintances and make new friends too. We eat at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday

– Regular business meeting night! Tuesday April 3, 2007 - Hiram Lodge No. 70 will Host the 18th Masonic District Lodge Meeting. Meeting at 7:30 p.m., with refreshments to follow the meeting. Germania Lodge Hall, 4415 Bienville St., New Orleans, LA. PLEASE NOTE THAT IDEAL LODGE MEETS ON THIS SAME NIGHT AND WILL MOVE THEIR CHARTER TO GERMANIA LODGE HALL FOR THE EVENING!
