REPORT ON THE LAST TWO MONTHS MEETINGS!On August 1st Ideal Lodge met with 15 members and no visitors present. Regular business was conducted and a discussion ensued about us purchasing some Lodge paraphernalia, so that we can stop using Livingston Lodge’s personal equipment, which tends to wear with constant use. After some lengthily discussion, we determined to learn the price of such paraphernalia and have a report at the next stated meeting. Alton Harper, Worshipful Master of Livingston Lodge requested that Ideal Lodge conduct Courtesy Work and put on an Entered Apprentice Degree for Livingston Lodge, because Livingston has three Entered Apprentice Candidates and did not want to wait too long to initiate them. Bobby Sonnier, Worshipful Master decided and announced that Ideal Lodge would conduct Courtesy Work at our next stated meeting. On August 15th Ideal Lodge met with 11 members and 7 visitors present. Only necessary business was conducted due to the E. A. Degree. Rt. W B Lupo gave an estimate of just a little over $4,000.00 to purchase personal Lodge paraphernalia. The Entered Apprentice Degree was conducted with Kristopher Perez, Senior Warden, as Acting Master. A fine degree was conducted on the candidate, however, on a sad note, two days later the candidate died in a motorcycle accident in Mississippi. On September 5th Ideal Lodge met with 6 members present and one visitor. Regular business was conducted and plans for the Honesty & Integrity Awards Night being held on September 17th was discussed. The Grand Master would be in attendance and would present the Awards to the two young ladies receiving the awards. Dispensation to elect a new Jr. Warden was read and Terry C. Cooper, P.M. was elected to that position and he accepted the station. According to Grand Lodge Rules the Secretary announced that the “Summons To Show Cause Why A Member Should Not Be Suspended For Non-Payment Of Dues” would go out to four brothers that have not paid their 2006 dues, which gives them three months, or be suspended! September 17th the Grand Master, Clayton J. Borne, III presented Honesty & Integrity Awards to Alicia Dee Haefele and Amber K. Richards, along with a check for each young lady. There were over thirty people in attendance to witness and hear the Grand Master’s presentation, which was outstanding! September 19th Ideal Lodge met with eight members and no visitors. Rt. W B Lupo installed W. B. Terry C. Cooper, P.M., as Junior Warden of Ideal Lodge No. 367, and Alton Harper as Junior Deacon, and William Ed Quave, P.M. as Junior Stewart of Ideal Lodge No. 367 for the remainder of the year of 2006. Our line-up is whole again! We received a letter of Demit from Daniel L. Hingle, who requested that he be granted a Demit from Ideal Lodge No. 367 and it was so granted. We wish Bro. Hingle Peace & Harmony in his travels to other Lodges. This places us with a total membership of 36 members. We then discussed the schedule for the remainder of the year. After some discussion we decided on a BUSY schedule with three OPEN HOUSES in just a few months left in the year. We will have to work hard in next few months to make all the accomplishments to finish the Achievement Award requirements for the Year 2006.
