love - hate

love - hate
coming out

I've come to a solution what to do with my hate-page. I decided to now call it 'love - hate' and put up some things that I like as well. I didn't like to have all that negative stuff on here without something positive.

I love ....

People who know who they are and what they want. There is nothing quite as attractive as a person who is taking the initiative. It's really easy! Tell me what you want and chances are you will get it. Be outspoken and honest about what you want. And if you don't want something just say NO. You don't have any obligation to do everything to please other people.

People who have a sense of humor and don't take a joke personal. I love winding people up and (even though I am Austrian) think have a dry sense of humor myself. So it is quite frequent that I will take the piss out of a friend just for the fun of it. I always live by the rule 'as long as I am making fun of it, it can't be that bad. It's only when I stop making fun that you should start to worry'. Or as Bette Midler said 'Fuck them if they can't take a joke'.

I hate ....

People who are driven by money. I have studied law and could have had a nice well paid job in Salzburg working with people I detest and coming to the same conclusion every night when I go to bed "I don't like law and I don't like most of the people who practice law". The worst thing someone can do is tell me all about the money his/her parents have got (and Salzburg is full of those). I want to earn enough money to be independent (don't worry Mum and Dad, I'll get there one day - and meanwhile thanks for supporting me).
People who complain about everything. That goes especially to those people who think that life is not treating them well. Let me tell you - it's not all about how life is treating you but about what you make out of life. And I am sick of friends who feel cheated on all the time. My sympathy wears off very quickly.
People who think they are ugly. To be honest if you think you are ugly don't expect me to tell you otherwise. Everyone can have a good smile, an interesting face and stand up straight. And most of the times that's all it takes to be good looking.
People who are intolerant. There is absolutely no excuse for intolerance of any kind. I believe that diversity is the most beautiful thing this planet has to offer. And I am not only talking about the gay issue here. If someone chooses to be a Communist and does not harm others with his beliefs I am happy for him. But I do also expect others to live by that rule.
