Two notorious cats from Victoria Grove, Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer love nothing more than to cause mischief for their human family. They are clowns and comedians, and are probably still very young. Rumpelteazer actually hangs out with kittens a great deal fo the time. Mungojerrie is probably the older of the two, and he has a rumored history of being an agent of Macavity. For the most part they tend to steal things that are of little practical value, such as Woolworth pearls, vests, and an occasional Argentine joint. They are more mischivious than malicious.Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer tend to look similar, causeing some confusion as to their exact relationship. Some people say they are mates, some say that they are siblings. On stage, Rumpelteazer is generally a lighter coloration (see Etcetera's page as to why this is). In the origional Broadway show, these two Jellicles were nothing more than puppets conjured up by Mr. Mistoffelees to perform an entertaining song. But when they are actual cats, then they put on a quite entertaining song with some incredible acrobatics.
