Charles Bishop (flute, whistle,
mandolin) has been a resident of Denton, Texas
since 1998 where he has actively participated in the North Texas traditional music scene. A native of
Jackson, Mississippi, Charles comes from a background steeped in American Old Time that gives him an
instinctual feel for high-energy tune playing and dynamic arrangements of tunes and songs. |

Emily Bryant(Guitar, Irish bouzouki, vocals, dance)
is also a recent resident of Denton, Texas and actively
involved in the North Texas traditional music and dance scene since 1998. A Louisiana native, Emily was influenced
by Old Time and Appalachian music as well as Celtic music from Scotland and Ireland. She came to the North Texas area
after nine months in Cork, Ireland where she studied and absorbed the vibrant traditional music and dance scene.

Michelle Feldman(fiddle) has lived in Texas since 1991. A former resident of California, Michelle started playing
the violin in third grade. She morphed from college orchestra player to Irish session fiddler while attending
California State University at Sonoma. In Southern California, she played for contra and ceili dancers, and
performed with Shannon, the only all-girl Celtic band in Los Angeles. Since coming to the Dallas area, Michelle has
played Celtic music for festivals, parties, and pub gigs with such groups as Moveable Feast, Cuckoo's Nest, and
Old Age & Treachery. She was also a recent member of the Texas folk band, Chattervox. |

Daniel Lowery(flute, whistle, uillean pipes)
has been a long term resident of Irving, Texas. He has played traditional
Irish music for the last seven years, developing his warm, ornamental style. Daniel is senior champion in whistle and
holds second place in flute from the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil. He will compete in the All Ireland competition in Ireland
this summer. In addition to flute and whistle, Daniel is an accomplished Uillean pipe player.

Catherine Sherer(step dance, ceili-calling, bodhran,
vocals)brings to Idle Road the percussive rhythms of hard
shoe dance as well as gracefully choreographed Irish soft-shoe dancing. Catherine moved to Dallas in 1999 and quickly
became part of traditional music and dance activities. Most of her Irish dance experience was gained from the
Jackson School of Irish Dance in Jackson, Mississippi. She received intensive dance instruction at Davis and Elkins
College in West Virginia under the tutelage of Eimir Ni Mhaoileidigh and Tom Bracken during the summer of 1998. Most
recently, Catherine participated in the July 2000 Willie Clancy Festival, Co. Clare, Ireland, and the Summer 2000 Blas
in Limerick, Ireland.
