Appearance .:. Has soot-black hair cut in a sort of a bob (longer in front and shorter in back). Light green eyes, light freckles marching across her nose, and a stubborn chin. She's somewhat of a late bloomer; she has no breasts to speak of yet, and her hips are still slim. She's getting taller rather rapidly, though, much to her chagrin. She seems to be all arms and legs which she hasn't grown into yet. Click here to see pictures Rai drew.
Personality .:. Just entering adolesence, her emotions are not yet taking her on a roller coster ride. She's mostly a happy person, and it's easy to cheer her up if she's otherwise. Makes friends easily with her lack of tact and curiosity. Still pretty much a tomboy, though she won't be able to escape the fact that she's rapidly growing up much longer. Honest for the most part, and leans toward hero-worship where some are concerned.
Likes .:. Learning, making new friends, apples, evesdropping, pick-pocketing, climbing trees...
Dislikes .:. People who treat her like an idiot because of her age, being uneducated, most charity, being clumsy, growing up...
Fears .:. Her father (the one she lives with, anyway), most nobles, not knowing what will become of her...
Family .:. Father - John, Mother - Molly, and her 5 younger silbings (from oldest to youngest) - Elspeth, Connor, Moira, Carina, Juliet.
Magic .:. Not much, just enough to maintain fire in the palm of her hand.
Past .:. Eden grew up in the lower city, caught between the animostiy between her parents. It was common knowlegethat John Cohan didn't pay enough attention to his new wife. It was also the subject of gossip for miles around that Molly was having an affair with a well-known lord, which was how Eden cam into creation. Eventually, some time after Eden was born, they forgave eachother and had the rest of their 5 children, though John never quite forgave Eden for existing. He likes to aim blows at her, though she's too fast for him most of the time. Her mother loves her but she regrets having an affair.
John kicked her out (literally), figuring she was old enough to make it on her own, and that she should bring him money she makes. She made her way to the Divine Realms Inn, and became a theif-in-training. She does give almost all of her money to her family because, although she hates her pa, she loves her mother and silbings dearly.
Updates
Just recently, Eden's real father made contact with her. He has taken it upon himself to see to her education, much to Eden's delight. Although happy about knowing her origins, she and her father dont get along too well yet. She's resentful that she was left behind to be raised by a man who hates her, and she's terrefied he'll stick her in a dress, make her behave like a proper lady, and marry her off, like so many others are. As his only child, Eden will someday inherit her father's substantial land, but she dosn't like to think of this yet, it makes her nervous. Despite all this, having a noble father, and being one herself, has advantages. If ever caught stealing, she can have her father get her out, a nice convenience.
She still stays at the Devine Realms, and her father comes to visit when he feels like it, or when he thinks she needs a talking to. Eden, to her credit, does all she can to rattle her father, so she can see what he's feeling behind his mask, for he's an unusually calm and composed person.
In the past few months, she's become aware of how she acts, and how it's so different from the other girls she's made contact with. She's rather embarrised, and will start making an honest effort to act her age, and not get into so many fights. We'll see how this goes.
June 2004:
Eden's father, while a bit hesitent to really lay down the law with her at first, is now having no such qualms. After she among other things helped a group of other Rogues steal some palace horses, he decided he had had enough, and told her in plain terms that if she was caught stealing again, he would let Provost cut off her hand.
Horrified and infuriated, she is currently in the proccess of stealing all she can. She's show him.
