Facilitate searching of multiple indexes and/or directories from one page

Some also allow searching FTP sites, WAIS, software sites, indexes to find people, FAQs and newsnet news archive sites.

Some will search several services at one time (SUSI -Simultaneous Unified Search Interface). On others you need to search each service individually but you can choose them from one page (CUSI - Configurable Unified Search Interface)
