Scoring Methods Used

Three different methods have been used to score the IFGA Fall World Championships this year...

1. A "typical" IFGA method where 20 slips of paper with deductions were placed into a hat along with 20 slips of blank paper, all the same size. For each 10.0 routine 6 pieces of paper were removed and the deduction(or lack thereof) was taken from the SV(Start Value). For each 9.90 routine there were 5 slips of paper removed from the hat. For each routine 9.80 and below 4 slips were removed.

2. A non-typical, but very interesting method... I had a lot of baskets and in one I had scores for a 10SV routine and in the other I had it for a 9.9SV routine and for 9.8SV and it kept going down to the lowest. Then I made pieces of paper for all the different scores it could be and so if it was a 10SV I took a piece of paper out of the 10SV basket and it told me what the score was.

3. An older method... I used dice. I rolled it 4 times for vault. I rolled it 6 times for the other ones. If they got a 1 or a 3 they got it right and they didn't mess it up. If they got a 5 they got a .5 deduction. If they got a 2 or a 4 they got a .2 or a .4 deduction. If they got a 6 then they got a draw out of the hat. So I got a hat with .025 to .5 in the hat and I got 10 blank. So thats there score.
