Well let's see. It's a straight and slicked back so I guess it's got that 'mess
with me and you're dead' style. Good for the job. The contouring around
the ears? That's unexpected. That says 'watch out, this guy might be
dangerous.' And then the feathering around the back? Well, that's a nod
to the female demographic. So what's it saying? It's saying 'deadly and
dangerous but not afraid to discuss

A Cop, a Mountie and a Baby

Laurie's Review

Bland. That's the word that comes to mind first when I think of this ep, which isn't often. I don't dislike it but if I'm in the mood to watch an ep in between airings on TNT, this is not one I would ever pick, other than to fast forward through for a few highlights.

What I found myself paying attention to was how Fraser handles the baby. Mind you, I wasn't on line at the time and knew nothing about the Mountie other than the information I gleened from watching the show and I knew nothing at all about the actor who played him, but it was so obvious that he was very comfortable with the baby - the way he holds him, rubs his back, etc. indicates some experience with babies; however, Fraser doesn't have children, grew up without siblings, has no nieces or nephews. He should be awkward but he's not. This made me wonder why he seemed so at ease with an infant. I decided then that the actor playing Fraser had children, possibly a baby. Of course, this was confirmed when I finally went online. I don't know what month Paul's son was born but this ep is from '94, the year Jack was born. This real life aspect, or at least my perception of it, is what interests me most about the episode.

I think the little boy who suckers Ray out of $5 is in another ep, outside the Consulate trying to distract whoever is on sentry duty. I don't think it was Fraser and I can't remember the ep (may have been Vault).

The discovery of the baby in Ray's car and the guys' reaction is the most watchable scene, and I also enjoy the search for the baby's parents, mainly for the music being played in the background.

Overall, I don't think it was very realistic. I give it a C and it ranks high on my yawn scale, but the baby gets an A for adorable
