21. James ("Knockagh")³ JOHNSTONE (James ("Longfield")², Robert¹) was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 8 October 1815. James died 29 November 1894 in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, at 79 years of age.

He married Eliza Wilson BARRY in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 28 March 1841. Eliza was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl. Eliza was the daughter of Robert BARRY and Sarah ??.

James ("Knockagh") JOHNSTONE and Eliza Wilson BARRY had the following children:

+ 67 i. Ezekiel⁴ JOHNSTONE.

68 ii. Margaret G. JOHNSTONE. She married W. J. Martin WALKER in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 14 June 1887. W. was born in of Belfast, Nth Irl. (See W. J. Martin WALKER for the continuation of this line.)

69 iii. Eliza JOHNSTONE. She married John GIBSON in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 4 December 1862. (See John GIBSON for the continuation of this line.)

70 iv. Jane JOHNSTONE was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 19 October 1845. She married Robert GARRETT.

She was christened in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 13 December 1845.

71 v. Sarah JOHNSTONE was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 16 or 17 October 1847. She married Capt Douglas CAREY.

She was christened in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 12 December 1847.

72 vi. Paul JOHNSTONE was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 3 January 1850. He was christened in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 10 February 1850.

73 vii. Mary Ann Wilson JOHNSTONE was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 2 November 1851. She was christened in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 9 August 1852.

74 viii. Robert Murray McCheyne JOHNSTONE was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 28 November 1855. He married Rachel MEEKIE.

He was christened in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 24 February 1856.
