23. William ("Bloomfield")³ JOHNSTONE (James ("Longfield")², Robert¹) was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl circa 1822. William died 12 August 1908 in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, at 86 years of age.

He married Hannah SPEERS. Hannah was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 17 October 1824. Hannah was the daughter of William SPEERS. Hannah died 23 October 1872 in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, at 48 years of age.

William ("Bloomfield") JOHNSTONE and Hannah SPEERS had the following children:

84 viii. James JOHNSTONE was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl circa 1861. James died 3 December 1936 in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, at 75 years of age. He married Jane Eleanor JOHNSTONE. Jane was born in Belfast, Nth Irl 15 June 1866. Jane was the daughter of John ("Longfield") JOHNSTONE and Eleanor WALKER. Jane died 11 March 1916 in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, at 49 years of age.

85 ix. Joseph JOHNSTONE was born circa 1863. Joseph died 30 August 1888 in Auckland, NZ, at 25 years of age.
