1. James¹ CARR was born in Newry, Co. Down, Irl. circa 1810. James died Feburary 1866 in Sale, Victoria, Aus, at 55 years of age.

He married Ann BROWN in Sydney, NSW, Aus., 20 July 1837. Ann was born in London, Eng. circa 1819. Ann died May 1861 in Sale, Victoria, Aus, at 41 years of age.

James CARR and Ann BROWN had the following children:

2 i. Mary² CARR was born in Maneroo, NSW, Aus. 8 March 1841. She married John HAGAN in Sale, Victoria, Aus, 8 March 1864. John was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 8 November 1834. John was the son of James HAGAN and Mary JOHNSTONE. John died 1873 no. 10365 at 38 years of age. He was christened in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 7 December 1834.

3 ii. Anne CARR was born in Merriman's Creek, Vic., Aus. 1847. Anne died 7 April 1926 in Sale, Victoria, Aus, at 78 years of age. She married Thomas JOHNSTONE in Sale, Victoria, Aus, 30 June 1865. Thomas was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 17 March 1839. Thomas was the son of Thomas ("Whinfield" and "Glenfield") JOHNSTONE and Eleanor GLENFIELD. He was christened in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 7 April 1839. (See Thomas JOHNSTONE for the continuation of this line.)
