| We at The Iguana Spot would like to share with you the most important piece of information we feel we have to offer .... If you are experiencing a medical problem with your pet iguana, turn off your computer, pick up your telephone and call your veterinarian. DO NOT proceed to a message board, do not send us email asking for help, call a qualified vet ASAP! Don't have a vet? Go to the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians at http://www.arav.org No one out here in cyber space is going to be able to accurately diagnose your iguana. Even if you were to find a vet online the chances of them being able to diagnose the animal without seeing it are slim to none, not to mention the fact that in many states it is illegal for a vet to prescribe treatment without seeing the animal in person. Please do not go to a message board in the hopes of curing your animal. Almost all of who participate on these boards, no matter how well intentioned or how great a level of experience we may have, are NOT qualified to deal with an iguanas medical needs. If you choose to ignore this advice your iguana may needlessly suffer and possibly die. |
