Moving West (to be a surfer dude)
When I was young I saw the picutres on the T.V. screen
They told me how to live and how my life should be
Its what you got, not who you are
They wear expensive clothes and drive brand new cars
As years began to pass and I began to realize
All their fashion and weath are all a big disguise
Was never part of the team, I didn't think the same
I dream of a place where it doesn't have to be this way

Moving west to be a surfer dude
Grow my hair and sleep till noon
Some say I've thrown my life away
I don't listen, just surf all day

Hear a lonely voice ride the wind through the trees
Tells me of a place in which i can believe
Golden sunsets, wide open starry nights
A new adventure each day beneath the sun's warm light
Hear the waves rush in and play their song against the sand
It carries my soul, a feeling no one else can understand
The warm sun reaches down, and takes my spirit in its hands
Like a pat on the back from a long lost friend

The ocean doesn't care what kind of board you ride                                                        The only thing that changes is the turnin tide
Put on my suit, I grab my wax
Hop on my board and I never look back
