A little about my favorite movies of 1970:

Gimme Shelter: Easily the best movie of the year, and one of the best documentaries ever made. You can watch the Sixties crumble before your eyes.

Something for Everyone: Michael York slowly infiltrates an
aristocratic family, with a goal of owning everything they have.
I don't think most people have heard of this movie, but I
liked it a lot.

THX-1138: The only movie I know of to be filmed in BART!
Dystopian future as depicted by George Lucas.

The Twelve Chairs: Not Mel Brooks' best film, but still fairly
funny, based on a very popular satirical Russian novel about life
after the revolution.

Wow, what a sucky year for movies. Only four good ones, and I
was being very generous too.
