Christopher Reeve
by Grandpa Chuck

"Christopher Reeve, known for his role as
``Superman'' in movies and later as an advocate for spinal cord research after a
horse-riding accident left him paralyzed nine years ago, died yesterday of heart failure.
He was 52.
Reeve, who went into cardiac arrest Oct. 9 at his
Pound Ridge, New York, home, fell into a coma and died at the Northern Westchester
Hospital in Mount Kisco, New York, without regaining consciousness, his publicist Wesley
Comb said in a statement. Reeve's family was with him, Comb said." Source:

Christopher Reeve is most remembered for his role
as Superman but he will always be remembered by me for his role in
"Somewhere in Time" with Jane Seymour.

"Somewhere in Time" is a dubious
classic of romantic-movie lovers since its release in 1980. It was his first
film after the sucess of Superman in which Christoper stars as a contemporay playwright
who visits a posh hotel and sees the portrait of an acctress who had performed there in
1912. He becomes obsessed with this beautiful woman and learns all he can
about her, and then discovers a method of hypontically transporting himself backward in
time to meet her.

If you enjoyed Christopher Reeve in Superman
I invite you to view "Somewhere In Time"!
