Hi, my name is Duncan. I haven't been with my foster family for very long, but they are already in love with me. They say I am a beautiful blue boy, and a gentleman with a silly side. This home is fun with a big fenced yard that I LOVE to explore, different types of dogs to hang out with, and humans who are home with me a lot. I went on my first walk with everyone through the woods the other day and had a wonderful time smelling all the smells and seeing all the sights. I was told that, since I did so well at that, they would take me through the neighborhood next. I think that sounds cool! At first I was very afraid of the dogs here that weren't IGs like me, but it only took one evening and now I think they are pretty nice. I'm already playing games with the other IGs, 'cause we speak the same language. I had some potty training issues in my previous home, my humans were unable to be with me as much as they might have liked, but I am doing VERY well here. My foster mom says she is so proud of how I potty outside! I will even explore the yard on my own in a cold drizzle - apparently she finds that surprising ;-). I am wearing a belly band in the house right now, because I have to learn not to mark, but I am getting the hang of it very quickly. I am about 7 years young, and I would absolutely love to find my forever home. I would like to be with at least one other dog, or even several. I would rather not be left all day, every day, because I worry when I am along too long. I am staying in a crate when my foster family is away, and I'll sleep in it at night, too - but I'd prefer to sleep in bed with you. I'm very snuggly and warm and won't move all night if you'll let me! If you think I sound like a great snuggle buddy, please e-mail my foster mom, Lawren, and she can tell you more about me! Also, please don't forget to complete an application for adoption -- then, if you are in western Pa., please e-mail it directly to Kacey. We can't wait to hear from you! (Not in western Pa.? Please complete the application, then contact your local Rescue rep. Your local rep may have a dog waiting in your area that could be the perfect fit for you -- and if not, he/she is welcome to contact Niki to let us know about your interest in me!) |
