Hi, I'm Luca. Such a beautiful name for such a handsome Italian boy, don't you think? I was only nine months old when I came into Rescue. My first mom was in the Marines; she couldn't give me the time I needed, and wanted me to find a perfect home. My foster mom, Rita Liberato in Long Island, NY, described me as a wonderful, big boy with a great temperment. She said that I was very calm, especially for a pup, and doing very well with my housetraining. |

When Angela told my new family about me, they knew that they wanted to adopt me right away! My new parents and foster parents arranged to transport me the very next weekend. Little did I know what a lucky Iggy I was about to become. The night before I arrived at my new home in Ohio, my family already had a beautiful bed and toys waiting for me! |

On the way home, my new mom sat
with me in the back of the car. The only time I got down from her lap was when my new dad
would slow down or stop the car... I am a typically curious IG pup who wanted to check
things out! I slept most of the way home, but I did take an occasional break to chew on a
toy. When we got home, my uncle and BOTH sets of grandparents were waiting to meet me. They all fell in love with me right away, of course! |
I spent my first night in my new home sleeping so sweetly in my parents' bedroom. My mom took me outside to potty as soon as she woke up, and when we came in I ran straight back to bed. While mom got ready for work, I curled up close to my dad and went right back to sleep! | |

A couple of days after arriving
at my new home, I went to my new vet to get a checkup and have stitches from my neutering
removed. The scale said that I was already a big IG of 18 pounds, and I'm still a growing
boy! I get so much love and attention in my new home! I have two human brothers, ages 5 and 7, who are so gentle and wonderful with me. My mom said she notices that whenever anyone looks at me, she can tell that I have an effect on people... they get an expression of perfect contentment. I make my family feel as loved as they make me, and I feel like one of the best-loved Iggies around! |
