Hi there! I'm Oreo, on the left. Isn't my name perfect for my beautiful coloring? And I'm Lady on the right, the very picture of elegance!
We were both 8 years old in July 2001, when we were spotted at a Pittsburgh animal shelter. We spent a few days there before going to stay with our foster mommy, Rachel. She was head over heels for us (can you blame her?) but was not able to keep us... it was okay, though, because our new mommy and daddy were destined to find us soon!
In October 2001, our new mommy and daddy drove from Maryland to Pittsburgh to see us... they must've liked what they saw, because they drove home the very next day with the newest members of the family in tow! |

Lady was outgoing from the start, while Oreo, the shy one, took just a little more time to settle in. But we are both SO happy, and having a blast exploring our new home! |

We are especially thankful that our new family was willing to take both of us... since we are brother and sister, it was very important to us to stay together! We are looking forward to giving and receiving lots of love and spoiling with our people for many years to come! |
Update: Our mom says that we are doing just great. "They are completely spoiled little doglets - what else can one expect with IGs? We had them at my parents' house and they got to sit on everyone's laps at the table, including those that actually didn't really want them on their laps. How many other dogs can say that? (Hopefully lots of Iggies can!)" | ![]() |
We have developed an interesting rapport with our family's cat, Key. Key is pretty independent and was not so thrilled about the addition of two Iglets to his home, but he tolerated us. Now, he actually seems to like when we sniff him, and we all lay together on a soft crate pad that our parents keep in the dining room so that we can hang out with them while they are in the kitchen. You know how Iggies need a soft, comfy place to snuggle! Our parents take us to the IG Mid-Atlantic playdates, which are great fun! Our favorite things are being at home with our parents, going for walks and visting our grandparents. And, of course, treats! |
